Can Satan Perform Miracles?    It should always be acknowledged that Satan is a fraud and a master counterfeiter with his false bibles, false professions, false prophets, false doctrines, false teachers and false miracles.

To comprehend the truth about Satan and his ambition, God's Word must be the source for truth. To assume that Satan can provide authentic miracles would be to subject our minds to believe error about the continuation of supernatural powers beyond the apostolic age. This is certain to leave one vulnerable to the wiles of Satan.

Satan by virtue of his false and ambitious prophets demand an attraction for miracles in place of the Word of God. The discerning believer understands that the real purpose of New Testament miracles was to demonstrate that Christ and his inspired apostles were speaking revelation by divine authority.

  • Satan vs. Jesus and Miracles

Miracles at the hand of Jesus and His apostles were for the physical and spiritual well being of people that pointed to Christ as Lord. Satan has no desire for the well-being of people and is determined to blind people from the knowledge of Jesus Christ (John 10:10).

Satan is not a miracle worker. Yes, he has power to manipulate and even duplicate (Exodus 7:10,12). But only as God permits (Luke 4:6b). Satan has no raw resources. He can only take that which is good and pervert it. Satan is an "finite" being. The devil is NOT omnipotent, NOT omnipresent, and NOT omniscient. Any ability to duplicate a miracle must be granted to him. Note what is said by Satan as he tempts Jesus in Luke 4:6:
Quote:
...All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.

Jesus is the only true miracle provider. The greatest of all miracles is the New Birth (John 3). Something that Satan will never be interested in duplicating.  Death is Satan's end game.

Sincerely, Dr. Arthur Belanger
