There is only position in which we are right with God, and that is in Christ Jesus by virtue of is atoning work at the cross. He came to this world to destroy the work of Satan and the power of sin. Sin is a matter of reality that breads the lie that we are sufficient in ourselves. It is the very fact of sin that explains why Christ came to this world; and sin is the explicit cause of all sorrow and death. Yet, it is in Jesus Christ only that death, sin and Satan are defeated.

The Book of Revelation Chapter Eleven.

Chapter eleven we see God's two mighty messengers carrying out their 1,260 day ministry before being martyred by the Antichrist. The ministry of the two witnesses will occur during the second half of the tribulation.  Along with this, we see the seventh trumpet sound.

It should also be noted that chapter eleven is a continued parenthesis that started with chapter 10.  With these two very powerful messengers now on the scene...  Their message will radiate a real sense of urgency.

Lets follow these two very special witnesses:

  • Their Place - vs.1,2   ...the holy city...  This refers to Jerusalem.  The city of Jerusalem in mentioned 809 times in the Bible.  It's name means "City Of Peace" - See Pslam 122:6.

a.  A Place Of Great History - vs.1  ...the temple of God...
b.  A Place Of Great Hysteria - vs.2   ...tread under foot...

  • They Are Persons - vs.3

a.  They Belong To God - 3a  ...my two witnesses...
b.  They Believe God - 3b   ...they shall prophesy...
c.  They Are Believable About God - 3c,d   ...
Note:  Their Endurance Proves That - 3c   ...a thousand two hundred and threescore days...
Note:  Their Endeavoring Proves That - 3d   ...clothed in sackcloth...
